Team building activities with actors and a plot
Not a quiz, a wine tasting or trust falls, but team building activities your colleagues actually get swept up in. With professional actors, for 5–500 people, in 30+ cities in the Netherlands and Belgium or at your own location.
What makes team building activities actually work
Most team building activities fall into one of two traps. Either they are too light, a quiz, a boat trip, an afternoon where colleagues chat with the people they already know. Or they are too forced: icebreakers, “share something personal”, exercises that make half the group cringe. Both miss the point. The best team building activities create real interaction, without pushing anyone into an uncomfortable role.
That is why NEVERREST has been building team building activities around professional actors and a plot since 2000. More than 200,000 participants have stepped into one of our stories, and the pattern is always the same: the moment the group senses that more is going on than announced, everyone leans in. Quiet colleagues speak up, dominant voices start listening, and people who have worked together for years suddenly see each other differently. Guests rate it a 4.9 from 150 Google reviews, alongside 1,500+ written participant reviews.
A fast start
No long briefing. Sub-teams of 4 to 6 are active within minutes, hosted live by the game leaders, so nobody stands around waiting for the day to begin.
Real decisions
Choices matter, information shifts and time pressure builds. Team building activities only bite when the outcome genuinely depends on what the team does.
A strong ending
One shared closing moment that becomes the story of the day, the part teams keep retelling at the office weeks later.
Three types of challenges, one experience
Our team building activities are not one repeated trick. Each programme mixes three very different types of challenges, so every personality in the team gets a moment to shine.
Negotiation
Colleagues have to read strangers, weigh what to believe and strike deals with characters who clearly want something. The natural talkers and diplomats in your team come alive here.
Puzzles and deduction
Clues, patterns and information that only makes sense once someone connects it. The quiet thinkers and analysts, often invisible in standard team building activities, suddenly carry the team.
Improvisation
Unexpected encounters demand a response on the spot. The quick switchers and jokers turn awkward moments into the scenes everyone quotes afterwards.
This variety is exactly why our team building activities include everyone. Nobody has to be sporty, extroverted or clever in the same way: mixed ages, roles and energy levels all find their own way in. And because larger groups play in sub-teams of 4 to 6, there is no back row to hide in, every colleague is part of the story from the first minute to the shared finale. Want the full list of what a programme contains, acts included? It is all in the brochure.
Two team building activities, two atmospheres
Both concepts are built on the same principle, involvement beats entertainment, but the atmosphere is completely different.
A cinematic city game with actors, outdoors through the city centre along a walking route of 2–4 km. Doubt and suspicion creep in as the plot unfolds around your team. Strong for teams that want atmosphere and rising tension.
Discover The Game →
An open escape format with actors that plays from an indoor venue or your own location, largely indoors and therefore weather-proof. More pace, more chaos, energy from minute one. No transport, no complicated logistics.
Discover Social Chaos →Not sure? Mystery and build-up: The Game. Pace and hilarity: Social Chaos. The 30-second comparison settles it, or we simply talk it through.
Practical: group size, language and cities
Our team building activities run in 30+ cities in the Netherlands and Belgium, from Amsterdam and Utrecht to Breda, and with Social Chaos also at your own location. Both concepts play in Dutch, English or a mix, so international teams join on equal footing. You will have a proposal within 24 hours, we hold your option for 10 days, and the final headcount is due one week before the event. Venue, lunch or drinks are arranged separately, and we are happy to think along about combining the activity with food and drinks.
Indicative pricing, excl. VAT: The Game starts at EUR 920 for up to 10 people without acts, or EUR 1,890 with all three acts; at 30 people it is EUR 1,940 or EUR 3,170. Social Chaos, actors always included, is EUR 1,895 up to 20 people and EUR 2,390 at 30. From 50 people you pay EUR 59 per person, from 200 people EUR 45.
