Team Outing Amsterdam with Dinner

Planning a team outing in Amsterdam with dinner — an exciting experience through the city followed by a great meal while the team is still replaying every scene? Amsterdam’s canal belt, buzzing neighbourhoods and endless restaurant options make it the perfect city for a full day that flows from adrenaline straight into food and drinks.

Want the short version first?

Neverrest has been running team outings in Amsterdam since 2000. Over 200,000 participants across all locations. A perfect 5/5 across 1,440+ reviews. Amsterdam is our most-booked city — and combining the experience with dinner is the most popular format.

Why Amsterdam is ideal for a team outing with dinner

Amsterdam delivers on both halves of the day. The canal district, Jordaan, De Pijp and Nieuwmarkt area give actors endless opportunities to create encounters your team won’t see coming. Around every canal bend there’s a new scene — a stranger who knows too much, a message that shouldn’t exist, a moment that makes your team question everyone around them.

And when the finale hits? You’re surrounded by restaurants. Whether your team wants a long table along the canals, a private dining room in the Jordaan or a buzzing brasserie on Rembrandtplein — dinner is five minutes away, right when the energy peaks.

How a typical Amsterdam day looks

Afternoon + dinner (most popular):
14:00 arrival → 14:30–17:00 team experience → 17:00 finale at or near the restaurant → 17:30 drinks → 18:30 dinner

Late afternoon + evening:
16:00 arrival → 16:30–19:00 team experience → 19:00 finale → 19:30 dinner

Morning + lunch:
10:00 arrival → 10:30–13:00 team experience → 13:00 finale → 13:30 lunch

All timings are flexible. We design the route so your team ends up at or near your dinner location — no taxi, no tram, just a natural walk from finale to food.

Two concepts for your Amsterdam team outing

The Game + dinner in the city

The Game turns Amsterdam’s centre into a cinematic thriller. Teams navigate the canals, side streets and squares while actors watch, follow and interact. The secretly filmed finale can be screened right at your restaurant — your team walks in thinking it’s just dinner, then the reveal begins. That transition from adrenaline to starters is the moment organisers consistently call “the highlight of the entire year”.

• the route ends at your dinner location — we plan it that way
• finale at the restaurant creates a seamless transition
• works across the entire canal belt, Jordaan, De Pijp, Nieuwmarkt and beyond
• scalable for 10–500+ participants

Social Chaos + dinner at your venue

Social Chaos runs from one Amsterdam venue — your hotel, conference space or event location. The experience ends where you are. Dinner is served in the same building, often in the same room where the finale just got a standing ovation. From applause to appetisers in fifteen minutes.

• ideal for hotels around Dam, Leidseplein, Museumplein or Amsterdam Zuid
• no transport between experience and dinner
• scalable for 10–350+ participants
• perfect for conferences and multi-day corporate events

FAQ

Can the finale happen inside the restaurant?

Yes — this is the most popular setup. Your team arrives at the restaurant and the secretly filmed reveal plays before dinner starts. It turns the opening of the evening into the most memorable moment of the day.

Do you book the restaurant for us?

You book the restaurant directly. We recommend locations based on your group size and route, and we time the programme so your team arrives exactly when the reservation starts.

What if our team arrives by train?

Amsterdam Centraal is a perfect starting point. We design routes that depart from the station area and end near your dinner location — no extra transport needed.

How far in advance should we book for Amsterdam?

Amsterdam is our busiest city. Book 3–6 weeks ahead for peak periods (April–June, September–November). For off-peak dates, 2 weeks is usually enough.
